Privacy Policy
Anjini is a cycle-aware nutrition and wellness companion. Because the app is built around your cycle, fertility goals, food, sleep, movement and mood, it handles information that is deeply personal. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Anjini (“Anjini,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Ritu Health, Inc., 10080 North Wolfe Road, Suite SW3-200, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR), we are the data controller of the personal information described here.
Questions about this policy or your data can go to support@anjini.app.

3. Health & sensitive data
Much of what you track in Anjini — cycle data, fertility goals, PCOS status, symptoms, and related health information — is “special category” / sensitive personal data. We process it only to provide the features you ask for and to personalize your experience, and only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you enter this information. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the data or your account (see Your rights).
4. How we use information
- Provide core features: tracking, insights, reminders, and your personalized home, food, body, sleep, and mind views.
- Generate AI-assisted guidance (e.g. meal analysis, cycle-aware nutrition suggestions, the chat companion).
- Sync your data across your devices and restore it when you sign in on a new device.
- Operate subscriptions and provide premium features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug, and improve the app.
- Communicate with you about the service (transactional email and, if you enable them, notifications/reminders).
- Comply with legal obligations.
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for this processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the app and the features you request); your consent (for health and other special-category data, and for optional notifications and reminders); our legitimate interests (to secure, debug, and improve the service and prevent abuse); and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.
5. AI processing
Some features use artificial intelligence. When you use them, the relevant input — for example a meal photo, or the text of a chat message along with the context needed to answer it — is sent from your device to our servers and then to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. These providers act as our processors under contract and are not permitted to use your inputs to train their general models. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is not medical advice (see our Terms of Service).
6. Photos & location metadata
Photos from your camera or gallery can contain hidden metadata, including GPS coordinates and timestamps. Before any image leaves your device to our servers, storage, or an AI provider, Anjini re-encodes it to strip this metadata — your precise location is not transmitted with meal photos. Original, unmodified photos remain only on your device.
7. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
| Recipient type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloud hosting & database provider | Store and sync your account and tracking data (system of record). |
| Object storage / CDN provider | Store meal photos and serve media (e.g. meditation audio). |
| AI providers | Generate AI features on our behalf. |
| Billing / app stores | Process and manage subscriptions. |
| Email / messaging provider | Send transactional email such as sign-in codes. |
| Analytics / crash reporting providers | Diagnose problems and improve reliability. |
| Legal & safety | Where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service. |
| Business transfers | In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy. |
Each provider is bound by contract to use your data only to perform services for us.
8. Partner / shared access
If you choose to link a partner or share access with someone, you direct us to share the specific information covered by that connection with them. You control these connections and can remove them at any time in the app; removing a connection stops future sharing.
9. Storage & security
- On-device data is stored in an encrypted local database.
- Server data is protected with access controls (row-level security scoped to your account) and encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
- Anjini is not end-to-end encrypted: we hold a readable backup of your data so we can sync and restore it. This also means we can, in limited and controlled circumstances, access data to operate and support the service.
- No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
10. Retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual entries at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact support@anjini.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
12. International transfers
We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
13. Children
Anjini is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to use the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Anjini after an update means you accept the revised policy.
